Important Message Panda - Giant Panda numbers have been dwindling largely due to the loss of habitat and deforestation. This has forced pandas out of their natural environment and into a vulnerable status. The panda bear is largely seen as an iconic symbol of conservation, and are a protected national treasure in China.
